Influence of Urban Road Green Belts on Pedestrian-Level Wind in Height-Asymmetric Street Canyons

This study was conducted to examine the effect on airflow of shape an urban road green belt in asymmetrical street canyon. In this paper, field at pedestrian height with different building ratios (ASF) both sides is modeled and simulated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, ANSYS FLUENT, flow rate characteristic distribution index average intensity are used evaluate analyze level. The shows that: (1) empty scheme ratios, static wind area located roof downstream building; closer ground a ASF = 1/3, lower rate. However, situation opposite that other streets (2/3, 3/1, 3/2). (2) position makes windward side step-up higher than leeward side, step-down side.
